A SYMPHONY OF DYES AND MATERIAL

The raw polymer parts are dyed in a water bath under pressure and heat in the DM60. During this process, the color pigments and chemicals from the color cartridge react with the surface of the raw parts and infiltrate into their pores. This way the dye reaches areas that otherwise would not be covered via spray painting. A stirrer at the bottom ensures that the parts don’t stack and all surfaces are accessible. The typical penetration depth of the dyes is around 0.2 mm. All process parameters and temperature curves can be adjusted according to material and finish properties.

    Place your parts together with the cartridge in the basket.

  • START DM60

    Press "Start" and the dyeing cycle begins.

  • AUTOMATED COLORING

    The process is fully automated and takes approx. 2.5 hours per run.

  • REMOVE PARTS

    After a dyeing cycle is finished, you just have to take the colored parts out of the basket.

Both the complete DyeMansion ‘Print-to-Product’ workflow and every single step are compatible with most of the technologies and materials used in powder-bed additive manufacturing. All process parameters and temperature curves can be adjusted to individual needs. DyeMansion technology is compatible with all powder-bed technologies in the plastics sector, such as laser-sintering, high-speed sintering or the new HP Multi Jet Fusion technology, at which the quality and color of the raw material influence the color selection.

Our industrial coloring solution is specifically designed for the two most frequently used plastics in additive manufacturing: PA11 and PA12. In addition, we have experience with other polymers which upon request can also be colored at customized parameters with the DM60, including: TPE, PrimePart, PA6, Alumide, PP, ABS, and many more. Contact us directly if you would like to color some of these or other exotic materials.

DM60 BLACK – BLACK COLORING ONLY

The DyeMansion DM60 Black is our economic solution for customers demanding black coloring only. A a full-color software update is always available. An even more cost-effective black coloring can be reached by adding the DM60 Reservoir.

DM60 RESERVOIR – HIGH VOLUME BLACK COLORING

The DM60 Reservoir add-on enables re-using it’s dedicated DM Black L-R cartridge up to five times. It is compatible with the DM60 Black and the DM60 full color solution. After the coloring process the process water is not disposed as wastewater, but temporarily stored in the DM60 Reservoir and recirculated again when a new coloring black cycle starts. In between the five cycles, dyeing with other cartridges and colors is still possible.
